This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
In my classroom we have a diversity of cultures and different types of economic backgrounds. I want to inspire my students to be thinkers, investigators, and get curious about what is going to happen next. I want them to never stop reaching for their goals and always keep moving forward.
In my school we are a team and we teach students to fly high, even though sometimes they struggle to meet their goals.
But if they keep flying high, they'll be successful in the long run.
My Project
In fist grade student want to know they have spot or move around the classroom to read a book or work. I want to be able to provide them a space where they will to able to do that.Is difficult not knowing where to seat when coming to circle time so I feel that it is very important for my students to be able to find a comfortable place in the classroom to relax and read a book.
Having a calming soft carpet to come and sit for reading to self, or listening to me would help increase their stamina.
I believe flexible seating options help students to stay on task more because they are more comfortable and have a say in where they are sitting. A carpeted area is a flexible seating option that I would love to have in my classroom.The different cushions will help them as well choose where to seat around the classroom.
