I Forgot My Tennis Shoes!

Help me give my students sneakers and socks for PE when they forget their athletic shoes on PE day.

My Students

My students range from 8 years old to 12 years old. I teach 3rd, 4th, and 5th-grade Physical Education. Our students are part of a rural community where approximately 75% are considered low socioeconomic status. I also serve two homerooms of self-contained special education students.

My Project

I teach PE to 3rd-5th grade students. If students forget to wear athletic shoes on PE day, they are currently not allowed to participate in PE for safety purposes. Some students that do not care for physical activity have caught on and forget to wear them on purpose so that they don't have to participate.

Funding this project would enable me to have "backup shoes" for those that forget so that they could borrow them from me for class.

This would ensure that students are always able to participate in PE and get their required physical activity for the week.
