My Project
Each year new students enter our kindergarten classroom ready for 180 days of learning. A welcoming classroom with well stocked supplies is essential for jumping into all the learning that will take place this year. Our new foundational reading curriculum, UFLI - developed by the University of Florida Literacy Institute, is rooted in the science of reading. I am excited to use this tool to deliver standards based instruction to all my kindergarteners! With this new curriculum comes new materials, which means new ways to manage these materials.
A new classroom rug will make sure all students have enough personal space on the rug, keeping them focused on the learning task.
The write and wipe boards will help students learn to write letters and spell short words. The handle is especially helpful for showing their work to me and their peers! Mesh zipper pouches will keep all their supplies together in one place, making materials distribution and clean up easier. The timers will keep us on track with all the pieces of learning throughout the day!
