Help me give my students these cool wobbly chairs to sit during independent work time (IWT). During my daily IWT, students come to me to practice reading and writing. The chairs will be fun to use during class.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students in my class will enthusiastically come to me during group reading because they will feel special in this chair. It pops, it stands out and it's stylish. The chairs make my classroom more accessible to students. Traditional chairs are something of the past. Out with the old and in with the new, stylish, and fun chair. By saying goodbye to the traditional chairs, my students get to feel hip and special when they come to me during group reading. According to research, this particular type of chair "... accommodates a range of natural movements – not hinder them. This active seating has a natural rhythmic effect on the entire postural system."
