A typical day in my classroom requires students to be focused and attentive. These children are so excited to explore the world of STEM education and use their technology that has been purchased.
Some speak different languages at home, some come from low socioeconomic households, and some aren't able to live with their parents.
I will have the pleasure of teaching 25 brilliant kindergarten students. Some of these children have never been in school before and others have several years of experience. For this reason they are all at very different academic levels. Learning will be easier for them if they are able to use computer programs at individualized levels.
We know children are 21st-century learners. They need to start developing 21st-century skills at the very beginning of school. My students will be using these headphones to help them on computer programs. The computer programs are individualized to each child’s needs. One child may be learning their letters, while another is a learning sight-words and a third is practicing reading by his or herself. Headphones will also be used during Google classroom lessons. Students can access lessons that the teacher pushes out. Lessons may have videos, music, read alouds, etc. They can respond to the lessons and turn their work in all digitally.
