I Can...Be An Artist!

My students need art supplies for our art classroom and our Creative Corner.

My Students

I am the art teacher to about 450 students. Our area has a significant amount of hardships due to lower incomes, which means 60% of our students receive free or reduced-price lunches, and to where their home lives can be pretty scary. So, coming to school is a safe environment for them.

My art students range from grades kindergarten to fourth grade, and are craving the chance to explore and to be creative using different types of art mediums.

My goal is to give my students a fun, loving, and caring environment where they feel safe to play, to learn, to love, to trust, and to just be a kid!

My Project

My students love art and love to create art. We have a "Creative Corner" where my students can go explore with different materials like twistables, sharpie markers, pencil sharpener. stapler, paper clips, three-hole punch, and post-it-notes. We will be trying watercolor pencils to see how they work with water.

Our kiln is broken so we want to try to use the model magic and Crayola Ari-Clay to see how it works for our 3-D sculptures.

We so appreciate generous donors such as you to help us. Our supplies tend to not last long with 600 students a week. Please help me to get my students the supplies they need for a successful art program.
