This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Imagine 10 little bodies seated behind the desk for 6 hours a day. They're expected to do their reading, math, social studies, and lessons while sitting at their desks. They go to the rug occasionally for story time or mini lessons, but when it comes to written work work , they find themselves behind the desk again. Day after day this is the routine. It's no wonder they get antsy and move around. In our room we have half a dozen wobble seats because... in our room the population is autistic, adhd, learning disabled, and emotionally unstable. Writing is difficult to begin with. When you couple it with the monotony of sitting at a desk all day it becomes nothing but a frustration. These foldable lap trays will enable my babies to take whatever task we give them to a comfortable location and have at it. We give them clipboards and they love it but the clipboards are so uncomfortable for them. These portable trays are just what we need and I hope you find it in your heart to sponsor us for them thank you.
