This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I work with special education students with language disorders in a TK-8th grade school. All ages of students need fundamental language skills to succeed in school and get their wants and needs met. My project will teach story telling skills from simple event recall to structured stories with beginnings, middles and endings.

Using sequences story cards, my students will learn simple sentence structures including parts of speech and vocabulary, and advance up to their final project of writing a personal story.

After learning sentence structure, the students will then learn story elements and sequencing of events. Finally students will learn main idea sentences and paragraphs writing.
