My Students
My students are from a low income community and our school is 92% Hispanic. At our school, our students all receive free meals every school day and many of them work in the fields with their parents during school breaks to help support their parents and help cover school expenses. The students that I am working with are interested in learning more about technology and how to use it to create works of art. My students are eager to learn how to use new equipment, from cameras to computer equipment.
My Project
Many people would think that a TV is not a good item for a classroom, but my classroom focuses on photography and graphic design. The current display that we have is very pixilated and hard to see, which makes it a little pointless.
My students need to be able to see what I am teaching them clearly, and currently, they cannot.
It is hard for anyone to see what I am showing them and a TV screen would be much clearer than a Smart Board and would be more appropriate for photography and graphic design.
I have discussed with our technology department what would work best for my classroom and would make it clearer for my whole class to see The TV I requested is what they recommended as the most effective, and it is also the least expensive. It is rare that we find something that is less expensive and more effective!
