This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My 22 energetic kindergarten students attend a Title I school in a low income area. Most of my students are all learning English as a second language and are coming to school for the first time. Everything is new and exciting for them in kindergarten.
"The beautiful thing about learning is no one can take it away from you."
By providing my students the best learning environment, I will help these little ones flourish. Having a board they can see clearly on and books to read will help them be successful and lifelong learners.
My Project
The use of a whiteboard easel would make such a difference in my daily activity inside the classroom. Being able to model all writing and math on this board, students will be able to come to the rug and see clearly having the board lowered to their level. They will be able to interact coming up to the board without having any difficulties since it will be at their level. Every student will have the opportunity to see directly in front of them and not at an angle.
They will build knowledge through visualization and books.
The most valuable gift you can give a student is books for children to read. Books stimulates imagination and expands their understanding of the world. They develop language and listening skills that they will use for years to come.
