This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
As a school counselor at an elementary school, I work with students Kindergarten aged through 6th grade. I have the best students!
Despite the challenges that the students in our demographic may be subject to, they show up every day ready to learn and ready to give their best effort!
My Project
Living in such challenging times can add so much stress to us as adults, but it even has such an impact on our kiddos. Giving students the tools to properly navigate through challenging emotions can not only help them during these challenging times, but for the rest of their lives! It's okay to feel big emotions, but it is important that students understand how to navigate and cope with those big emotions! Through this project, I hope to give my students the skills and tools to regulate their emotions with confidence!
