My Project
These classroom materials will help my students learn to build words through direct instruction in phonics and phonemic awareness through the UFLI program. Students will learn to decode and encode words by building words with the magnetic letters and trays. These learning activities will allow hands on materials for my students to bring learning to life. They will allow explicit word instruction where the students will be engaged in applying the sound taught in daily lessons to their hands on materials. A strong phonics program is proven to create the skills needed to be a successful reader.
