Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Every morning my students start the day with practicing reading to themselves. They like to sit on the rug, by the wall, or at their seats and read.

My students are the youngest students in the school.

They love to come school. They love to talk and tell stories. Most of my students speak another language at home, and school is the only place where they are leaning to speak, read, and write in English.

My Project

Having books at my students reading levels will help my students become better readers. They will be able to practice reading during daily 5, and during centers. My students will have fiction and nonfiction books to read in the classroom, and to borrow to take home to practice reading.

Having leveled books will help my students become better readers and writers.

Practicing reading daily, will help my students become fluent readers, and will help my students be ready for first grade.
