I teach German language. My students are in all grade levels 9th - 12th grade. My students are learning everything from the basics to everyday interactions with native German speakers. My students are very curious about learning another language and therefore very willing to put forth a lot of effort and are excited to use their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. They are very motivated learners and are always asking, "what's next?" during different lessons and units that we go through in class.
My Project
High-interest, engaging, and challenging books in the classroom not only help make learning a new language fun, but it helps challenge students to use their listening and speaking skills to help them get better every day by practicing not only with me, but also with their fellow classmates as well.
My German language learners will be developing strong skills in vocabulary, grammar, comprehension, and decision making by having a collection of nonfiction books in the target language of German.
My students will also be demonstrating these skills with the collection of books they have requested for the collection of free reading books.
