My Project

My students come to me with a mindset that they can’t read and they don’t like to read. Many times they feel defeated. After a student knows their letter sounds and understands the phonics closed syllable rule, they can start reading words and books. When they start reading the Bob Books, they get excited and they are eager to read the next book in the series. I love to see a student realize they can read. This is one of my biggest joys as a special education teacher and why I teach!
