About 95% of our students are African American and about 5% Hispanic. All of our students receive free lunch. The majority of the students live below the federal poverty line, but that doesn't stop them from dreaming and working. They know, "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world" Nelson Mandela.
Imagine a class where students question, explore, discover, and collaborate.
Welcome to our class! We use STEM practices to develop our conceptual knowledge of math and science concepts.
My Project
Our school believes in STEM practices and incorporating technology daily. We have adaptive learning websites that tailor lessons for each individual student according to their level of readiness.
Their personal learning activities include step by step learning videos.
Currently, students are not able to hear their individual lessons clearly because they don't have headphones. Everyone has to play their lessons aloud. This causes distractions and makes it difficult for them to concentrate on their personal lesson.
With the purchase of these headphones, students will be able to hear their lessons with minimal distractions. Back ground noise will fade away with your support.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
