This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students need to be challenged! I teach students in a low socioeconomic area in Louisiana. My students are considered at risk and would benefit greatly from any help. These students are wonderful and need to be nurtured educationally. That is why it is so important to me to have resources available to them. My students want and are able to learn and accomplish their own goals. I want to be able to help them do this. They deserve it!

My Project

Technology is everything these days. It's at home, on the streets, in a store, and definitely in our classrooms. Being able to use technology to the fullest extent will get our children ready for the future.

My students use technology here at school, but some of them do not come prepared with headphones.

Some of them really want to have headphones, but the fact of the matter is that their families just cannot afford to get them. In those cases, students sometimes have to do without, so getting these headphones donated would make such a big difference in my classroom.
