My Project
As a second-grade teacher in a high-needs urban school, I strive every day to meet my students where they are—and that often means differentiating instruction in ways that are both engaging and meaningful. My classroom includes emerging multilingual learners, students with IEPs, and a wide range of reading and math levels. We use a variety of digital tools to provide individualized support, but without headphones, it can become noisy and distracting—especially when every student is working on something different.
A class set of quality, durable headphones will allow my students to focus during small-group rotations, access audio books and read-alouds, engage with phonics and fluency practice, and participate in math instruction tailored to their specific needs.
It’s a simple tool that will make a big impact. With headphones, every student can tune in to the instruction that’s right for them—without being overwhelmed by the sounds around them.
