I am excited to be the seventh grade Life Science teacher at Floyd T. Binns Middle School. It is one of two middle schools in Culpeper, a beautiful county in central Virginia. The school population has grown tremendously in just the 3 years that I have been here. I have a diverse group of 28 students in each of my 3 classes. For instance, in my Block 3 class, over half of the students are English Language learners (ELs).
Even though we are blessed with enough chromebooks for each of my classes, I am desperately in need of headphones.
By having headphones for each of the students, they would be able to participate in the many videos and learning games that support my curriculum. I want to be able to differentiate my program to meet the needs of all my students in each of the classes. Headphones would be most helpful for my students who have a behavior plan, an Individual Education Plan and my ELS. This would also be helpful for my advanced students who are also in each of my classes.
I see the value of using technology in the classroom. Thank you so much for your support.

I would like to outfit my class with 30 Califone 3068 AV headphones. Having a class set would allow me the opportunity to differentiate to meet the educational needs of all my students.
