Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

You guessed it! Math can sometimes be a stinker, but our class motto is "We can and will master math."

My 5th grade students are wonderful and they are really giving a lot of effort so that they can conquer math.

Most are economically disadvantaged and lack many things, but this does not keep them from giving it all to learning. I told them that if I was one of the first 200 to submit a project, it would be funded. They are all cheering. They are eager to master their math skills, but some are still having some difficulty.

My Project

The math resources I am requesting, various math centers, a Real World Math Problem solving kit and various math skill items, are just what my students need to get over the hump. Just a little more practice in a new and fun manner may just do the trick. The real world problems will help them relate math to real situations and help them master problem solving. The centers and vocabulary cards will further enrich their math knowledge so that they can master all skills.
