This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are making progress and are able to do many tasks with just a little help- they just need practice. Adapted task binders allow them to repeat tasks and build up their independence as they complete familiar review work on a daily basis. It also allows us to conserve resources as the pages are used and erased or 'reset' over and over. Binders also allow for ease of updating skills as the children progress- I can just swap one skill practice page for the next one as they master each task. Sticker charts let them celebrate the steps they're making towards mastering academics and independence.
Bright colors and Velcro sticky dots make the work a lot of fun and sticker charts are a tangible record of the progress they are making.
My students benefit from frequent review of the material they are learning. Adapted work binders allow them to practice independence as they can do the work with little to no prompting from me. They can be expensive to produce and maintain, which is why I'm seeking your help in supplying the basic materials I need.
