My Students
My school consists mostly of second language learners, special education students, regular education students, as well as gifted and talented students. This year due to COVID-19, many students are unsure about attending classes in person or continuing with virtual learning and that is an added stress for everyone. For those going back into the classroom, I want to provide them with a safe room to learn.
Students want to learn, feel empowered, and be successful in life.
They are eager to learn and to be challenged. I want to provide them with this opportunity. I teach sixth-grade students who are preparing themselves for middle school. It's my goal to fulfill my students' educational needs and help them be ready for any educational challenge that they may face.
My Project
Using technology with classroom instruction allows me to integrate relevant technology in ways that are engaging and inspiring to all my students. Many of my students do not have access to computers or internet at home so I want to help them.
By exposing them to technology at school or home, they will be better prepared for high school, college, and the job market.
Today’s students have the opportunity to learn how to code and practice those skills. There are educational apps that will capture their attention and teach them a hard concept without them realizing that they are actually studying. I want to use the If/then curriculum to inspire my students and help them succeed.
