This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are so creative, so enthusiastic about learning, and they love activities that have an art component. These first graders missed out on all the hands-on activities typical of kindergarten pre-pandemic. Help me provide them with materials that will support their grade-level writing development by making writing fun, artistic, and engaging. The Tub o' Words will help beginning readers practice forming sentences in a hands-on way, and the pencils and writing paper will help them take the next step of writing the sentences and illustrating to make deeper, long-lasting meaning of the activity.
