Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach in a Title I elementary school. I am a dual language teacher in a dual immersion (one-way) program. I can have up to 62 kids and we are started the school year with distance learning.
We have a great community where we continually encourage being bilingual.
Our students have access to Chromebooks for online learning. I would like to encourage their writing by providing them with journals.
My Project
These journals will be a great tool for my students. The journal keeps all their writings and drawings in one nice, easy, and accessible book. This will encourage the students to write with nice penmanship and to take care of their writings throughout the school year. When you have something nice to write in it encourages you to do your best. These journals are sturdy and feel like actual books. Which in return can encourage the kids to take pride in their writings and make them feel like an author of their own book.
