Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The students that will be in my class this upcoming school year are cheerful and full of questions, I know they are worried and curious about their new school experience, whether its at home or classroom, and their new teacher. Some of these students perhaps have never been to school and may feel they are not ready.
These students come from low income families and 100% of these students receive free school meals.
Our school as well has limited funds to provide the teachers with organizational tools such as pencil boxes. As an educator, I need to be prepared for the new school year.
My Project
The materials as the title says will help students be organized and find their tools by keeping them all in one place. The stickers are for behavior management to help them feel great as they are learning.
The pencil boxes will help students become more responsible and take ownership of their classroom tools whether its at home thru long distance learning or in the classroom.
The pencil box will help students have their materials handy without struggling to find them when they need to work.
Students need to feel they have the necessary tools to learn and not feel deprived of not having basic materials to get ahead in life.
