Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

5th grade is an important year is our students lives as they prepare to head off to middle school and leave the school that they have grown up in over the past six years. Students often struggle with confidence and a positive self image and are looking to find their place in the world as well as amongst their friends.

With this project I will be able to create a group for students to engage with their peers in a low risk setting where they can learn from each other to build up their confidence and self esteem.

Students will receive the book The Confidence Code and we will read it together book club style. We will engage in conversations that are important to them and support each other to find success and grow.
