This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Kinder is such a great age! These kids come in with open minds and hearts. The world is a tough place these days, students come to school with all kinds of worries, fears and concerns. Yoga and meditation helps students see the world through calmness. It gives them a sense they are in control. It connects us as a family, gives a sense that we can overcome obstacles and feel empowered and allows us to count on each other and trust ourselves. Yoga and meditation can be done as a group of individually as needed, all my students need is their mat and calm mind. Students are taught to sense when they need regulation and allowed to choose a mat, poses, and songs of their choice.
