My Students

My students come from a low-income area and low socioeconomic backgrounds. One hundred percent qualify for free breakfast and lunch. We lack many everyday school supplies and many of the parents cannot afford to buy their children pencils, folders and other essential supplies for school.

Many of my students come from low-income households.

Eighty-five percent of the students are English Language Learners, so many do not receive much help at home due to language. The teachers at our school are mentors to the children. We want all our students to succeed. The school provides a caring and warm environment to learn.

My Project

Many of my parents are doing the best to provide basic needs for their family. Personal hygiene products is a must. Regularly brushing their teeth will help keep their teeth clean and keep healthy.

Body wash will be given to students who may need body wash and soap at home to clean themselves and feel better.

Many of our students come to school concerned about getting their basic needs. The laundry detergent will help parents with washing their child's uniform clothes. The backpacks will be for the students who families are not able to afford to purchase school supplies. Lice kits are going to be available to parents to use to clean their child's hair and get of the lice. This project will provide students with basic supplies many do not have access to when they leave my classrooms.
