Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Although I would love to help all of my students by assisting them in purchasing the necessary items for their day-to-day life, it is an unrealistic goal. Many of my students are in temporary housing, and are victims to single parent households with many siblings and struggle with having the basic hygiene necessities. As the weather warms up our students struggle with their hygiene which lead to bullying, social emotional stress. and students being chronically absent from school. These items will help my school provide our students with hygiene kits as a first step to addressing a bigger issue.
