Hygiene Products and Snacks for My Students!

Help me give my students resources to help them feel completely comfortable at school. Hygiene supplies and snacks are always helpful and necessary to ensure kids come to school consistently and stay in class.

My Project

As a school social worker in Cleveland, it is always important to keep the building well stocked with hygiene supplies and snacks to help motive students!

Almost 46% of students in Cleveland schools, ages 18 and younger, are living in poverty, with 23% of those students participating in special education, and 100% of students being economically disadvantaged.

At CIS,15.6% of our students are chronically absent.

Schools have the opportunity to be a hub of resources for students and their families. My role in the building is to provide any necessary resources so that kids can come to school and simply learn. Sometimes the barrier of being hungry or feeling insecure can cause a student to make the choice to skip class or not come to school at all. Many times, something as simple as some lotion, deodorant, or a small snack will help a student feel more confident and comfortable at school.

With a fully stocked care closet, we can continue to encourage students to come to school, stay in class so that they can continue to further their education. The products listed are always supplies that we run out of quickly in our building and will be used by all 700 students!
