This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Sanitary products are a necessity that can be lacking in our school due to budget and resource constraints. Students often rely on the nurse and, if she is out of supplies, other staff to help fit the gap when resources are needed. If sanitary products are not available, our students cannot be comfortable and focus on their education.
A refreshed stash of emergency sanitary products will help my students feel confident and return to class without worrying about distractions that can hinder their education.
Pads and tampons will be kept in a place where students feel empowered knowing sanitary products are available to them, and they do not have to make a scene to get ahold of them.
High school is hard, and readily available sanitary products have been the difference-maker in a student's experience and confidence. Thank you for continuing to support this amazing work! We are so thankful!
