My Students

The students I serve are from the side of Chicago which is considered a poverty-stricken area. Students look for our school to provide resources for social-emotional learning and problem solving. However, our school is one place where they feel safe and to know that they can express themselves.

As school counselor, I help students build self awareness, effective communication, social skills and make healthy decisions.

My Project

These materials will help me to support my to develop self awareness, effective communication, social skills, and make healthy decisions. In addition, my students will understand that their personal hygiene is an important form of self-care that will ensure them they will live a healthy life. Furthermore, as they form good hygiene practice it will have a positive effect on them as they continue to grow and become more independent to boost their confidence and self-esteem. Finally, it is my goal to always make my students aware and independent as they grow into product citizens in our society.
