My Students

I am lucky enough to be a specialist at my school. Our school is quite large serving around 1000 students. We have students from wide variety of diverse backgrounds that help to weave together the tapestry of our school.

We are working hard to create a supportive and inclusive community of learners.

We want all of our students to reach their full potential in middle school and beyond. The culture that we work to create sets the tone that our students learn to.

My Project

This year we have seen an increased number of students in need of clothing and hygiene products. I thought about all the ways that we could get different agencies involved to help, but when it came down to it we needed to do something school based. That's where the idea for a clothing closet came from.

We want our students to be able to access the clothes they need with dignity and respect.

No child should miss out on clean clothing or hygiene items. As a school it is not only our mission to educate children, but to serve the whole child. The items on this list will start to build the bones for the hygiene side of our closet. We want students to not only be able to have the clothes they need, but the products necessary to start their days off right.
