Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our students are high schoolers with disabilities and our Occupational Training Center school mission, is to prepare them for the real world.
The hydroponic equipment is much needed for instruction related to botanics, healthy living and culinary instruction.
We plan on growing edible plants to incorporate to our many recipes.
Our school focus is to teach students with disabilities the many skills necessary for them, when they graduate and want to live independently and become active participants in their community. My culinary program provides all the insides of a vital lifeskill.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
