My Project

I request a hydroponic garden system to grow food from the farm to the lunchroom. Let's engage students in their learning environment by not only learning about alternative growing systems but also participating in the process (becoming urban classroom farmers) of growing from seed. This project will allow students to harvest food for use in school lunches in partnership with our food service.

Help bring our classroom lessons to life, connecting learning to our community.

These hydroponic systems will engage students not only in STEM applications but also in cross-curricular learning opportunities. Students will learn and at the same time produce fresh (student-grown) food crops to incorporate in our lunch program to possible donations to food pantries to developing a micro-business to sell to the community.
