My Project

I teach a classroom of students with a variety of exceptionalities. We have a very diverse cultural population with a variety of income levels. We also serve a high amount of military families. My students work extremely hard, and we have become a family, due to the fact they often stay with me as long as 3-4 years. I always try my best to expose them to as much as I can. Recently, my amazing students have been learning about plants, nutrition, and sustainable farming.

I want to allow them the opportunity to grow their own healthy foods and to learn firsthand the benefits of growing healthy foods.

This hydroponic system will not only help teach my students about plants and sustainability but also empower them to take charge of their own food choices and help provide healthy breakfast and lunch items for my students.
