This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Hydration is an important part of being healthy and alert at school. My students need sanitary cups available to drink water in the classroom. Having cups in the classroom will minimize the time that students will need to leave class and allow them to stay hydrated, feel alert and ready to learn. We currently don't have cups with lids for students in the classroom. Many students can't afford water bottles or may simply forget to bring them to school. Water fountains are not nearby, and they are constantly in need of repair or filters in need of replacement. Students should be able to get a drink of water in their own classroom, where their teacher could watch them and make sure they are in a safe environment while staying hydrated.
