My Students

The middle school students at my school are the absolute best! Some of them come from some bad situations, but whenever they come on campus they are incredible students that are willing to learn. They are almost transported whenever they come onto campus, ready and willing to do whatever they need to do to be successful.

We have a small campus with limited options of class, but that doesn't discourage them from doing their best.

But even with the limited options, they still show up every day eager to learn. I want to give my students the equipment and learning environment they deserve!

My Project

My students absolutely love being outside, doing anything and everything they can. Living in Tucson, Arizona, this can be a bit of a challenge because half of the year it's over 100 degrees when we're playing outside. My students are constantly asking for water, both inside and outside. Our school does not have great water fountains outside (they usually taste like dirt), and even the one inside in my room does not taste good, and often comes out hot. Because of these things, I would absolutely love to have a classroom set of water bottles for my students. They would be responsible for taking care of them, cleaning them, filling, and storing them. This will also be a good way for me to teach them about responsibility and proper hydration techniques.
