Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Agriculture is a huge way of life in our area. Our school has a very high percentage of kids who come from migrant families. Many of our students receive their only meals of the day at school. We have a very diverse population at our school, and that is one of the things that makes it so great. Our kids may not have socioeconomic advantages, but that doesn't stop them from being high achievers. Many of our families are unable to venture outside our immediate community to enjoy the boundless recreation opportunities we have. The Environmental and Adventuring club has a goal of taking our members on hikes and adventuring to enjoy the natural beauty that surrounds our valley.

My Project

These CamelBak hydration packs will give my students the ability to safely go on our hikes. By providing them access to water, we can make sure they all have successful and safe hikes. Hiking is one of the best ways they can learn about their environment.

Proper hydration is essential when out adventuring in nature.

These CamelBak hydration packs will ensure our students' safety. These packs will allow us to keep or students properly hydrated and safe on our adventure.

These CamelBak hydration packs will allow us to take them on a variety of outdoor adventures all over Northern California.
