Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Keeping the students hydrated and having healthy snacks so they can be ready to learn and work to their optimum potential is one of my goals this year. My students come from diverse backgrounds in a Title I school, which means their families do not have the resources to get their children's basic needs met each day. Most of the students learn differently. They work best in a nurturing and structured environment with strict limits in a small group and lots of positive reinforcement.
My children enjoy learning new concepts but have difficulty focusing and following directions and rules because they are often hungry and thirsty.
Many of my students are academically behind in reading, writing, math, Social Studies, and Science. Please consider funding this project for my students because it will help them focus more on school and help them to adequately hydrate and help to diminish their hunger during their school day.
