My Students

My high school special education students love engaging, real-life projects for both math and science. Hands-on activities help them understand the material and benefit from modifications. They come to school each day ready to try new things. My favorite thing each day is how amazed my students get when I teach them new fun science facts that they encounter every day but do not realize it's a part of science or math. A common phrase I hear is, "How do you know all of this stuff?"

My Project

With the new style of learning being a hybrid method, my students with disabilities need a curriculum that is understandable for online learning. Creative teachers have converted their wonderful math curriculum for online learning that would really help my students both in the classroom and at home.

This project will help provide the ability to recreate a fun engaging curriculum for my students that would work within the classroom and at home!

These online curriculum are easy for my students with disabilities to navigate and understand at home when in-person instruction can not take place.
