Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are enthusiastic fifth graders who live in a high-poverty, rural community. At this time some students are in school and most are at home working virtually to learn.

My students love to be connected and learning with their classmates and teachers.

My Project

I am requesting a MacBook Air. With our new hybrid/virtual learning style, my current computer is not able to keep up with the change. It is very slow and cannot keep up with Zoom and the Internet at the same time. For example, when trying to use multiple tabs, the computer will freeze or not load pages that need to be loaded. This does not work more than 70% of my class is home online. With having the Macbook Air, the students will be able to connect with each other and compete on Quizizz or games such as Kahoot or Quizizz.

With a new Macbook Air, I will be able to give my students the best ability to connect with me.

I would love to be able to give my students virtual tours to those in class and virtual!
