Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My kindergarten students will start their school careers in the fall. I know there will be many changes from the past years and I am excited to get to know my new students. I want them to be very excited to start each day and develop a love of learning through our activities.

Kindergarteners learn best through hands-on activities and trying things out on their own.

They are also very social, love working in groups, and asking questions of their classmates.

My Project

My class will begin the year in a hybrid setting. Some students will learn online and the rest will be in person. I want to be able to give all my students the hands-on experiences they need to grow and learn.

These materials will allow my students to be engaged and interact with each other no matter the distance.

The math counters and snap cubes will be used to help my students practice their math skills. The Play-Doh, dry erase markers, and boards will be used in every subject to help engage my students through distance learning and in the classroom. These materials will also help them develop their fine motor skills in a fun and engaging way.

With these materials, all my students will have the same resources to use during our instruction.
