Hybrid Learning Here I Come!

Help me give my students the supplies they need for hybrid learning such as: pencils, notebooks, folders, glue-sticks, dry erase markers, dry erase sleeves, and pouches to hold all their materials.

FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Haq's classroom raised $287

My Students

My students are the most caring, unique, and energetic students you will meet. All of my students are diagnosed with different disabilities, and many of them are English Language Learners (ELL) as well. Despite this, they are filled with curiosity and are always eager to learn. The students in my class love to engage in fun activities, especially those that are hands-on and involve sharing materials.

Due to the COVID-19, my students' entire world has been turned upside down.

They already exhibit difficulties with understanding and adjusting to change, so adhering to social distancing guidelines may not be something they will be able to follow completely. My students require constant adult support, and will need assistance with maintaining a safe classroom.

My Project

All of my students come from low-income households and receive free school breakfast and lunch. Many of my students share everything with their siblings, whether it's clothes, bedrooms, or supplies. As a result, my students are not always equipped with the supplies they need for school. The COVID-19 pandemic has made life even more difficult for my students and their families, as many parents have lost their jobs. I would like to alleviate the stress of parents having to buy supplies. I am requesting pencils, notebooks, folders, glue-sticks, dry erase markers, dry erase sleeves, and pouches to hold all of the materials for hybrid learning.

Hopefully when my students see their new supplies, that they own, and do not have to share, it will motivate them to continue learning during these challenging times.

The notebooks would be used for the core subjects of reading, writing, math, and science. The pencils would be used for all subject areas. The glue-sticks would be used for students pasting any materials needed for lessons. The folders will hold all of the important documents students will need to bring to and from school. The dry erase markers and sleeves will help reduce the spread of germs as each student will receive their own. Similarly, each student will receive an easily cleanable pouch to hold his/her materials.
