Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come into class excited and ready to be engaged in learning. I teach in a large middle school with a very high number of students from low income backgrounds at a very high poverty school. The students in our school face challenges both in school and out each and every day. These challenges are ones that are sometimes hard to overcome and come with them to school each and every day.

Many of the students in my classroom come from a bilingual home and are on free or reduced-price lunches at school.

This is a lesson they will love and never forget we made in class.

My Project

These materials will help myself, as the teacher, teach the students in-person as well as remotely. This project will help stay socially distanced but able to help manage the lesson throughout the classroom.

The mobile desk will allow for socially distanced movement around the classroom for in person learning.

The desk will also allow for multiple devices to be used at a time and more engagement for students at home. I can teach using one device and demonstrate how to do a skill with the other device. Students will be able to watch remotely from their devices.

The disinfectant wipes will also help with safely cleaning the classroom after uses.
