This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My school is a K-6th grade school with a diverse population. I teach students who are learning English and work with several different classrooms.
Our learners have worked so hard this year and deserve a way to celebrate and remember their husky mascot when they go to middle school.
Supporting their mental health and social-emotional growth and celebrating the safe place they have been these past few years is important.
These husky-themed socks will be a perfect way for our 5th-grade graduates to remember their time at our school.
I want them to always see themselves as a part of our school, even after they leave us. This will remind them of their importance at our school as well as their place in our world! We can wear these on the same day before school ends, and some will even wear them to graduation.
