Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have a great group of students who are eager to learn and work hard every single day. We strive to work together toward our common goal of becoming better readers and better citizens.
My students come from a diverse population, some of them are non-English Speaking students that have been displaced by hurricane Maria.
Others face economic hardships or are trying to overcome academic barriers to learning. Our motto is: Expect Success, Nothing less! We will strive to succeed together!
My Project
The English Language Learner Games Library and English Language Development Activity Cards - Complete Set will help my English Language Learners gain the language skills they need to be successful. They will use these activities in small groups during center time. The students displaced by Hurricane Maria will benefit from these materials.
The only way to become a better reader is to READ, READ, READ!
Other students will be able to use the Vocabulary Folder Game Library and What’s the Point? Comparing Text Center to increase their vocabulary and comprehension skills. My students know their phonics, but they need more help with vocabulary. The more vocabulary you know, the more you can focus on comprehension.
