Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Hurricane Harvey has affected us here in the Texas area greatly. Our school is being used to help and assist displaced homeless people during this time. However, as soon as we are able to get back into our school, we will begin working just as hard as before. This storm will not hamper our soul or spirit.
Hurricane Harvey will not stop our fabulous graduation.
We will overcome the adversity of Hurricane Harvey and be even stronger. Some might think that because a person is 3 or 4 years old that they will not benefit from STEM mathematics. As a teacher of 4-year-olds, we have three subtopics of science to teach: earth science, physical science, and life science. We need materials to follow the curriculum to the fullest! We are an underprivileged school, Title I and low-income. Most of our students are first and second generation immigrants whose parents are just trying to give their kids a good education.
My Project
My students love iPads, so we are in need of iPad covers to protect them. We also need a few good nap time books to feel safe and comfort. We would also love to restock our treasure box to create a good work incentive program.
Hurricane Harvey shook our city but our students contiue to strive and exced expectations.
My classroom has to be a place of understanding and fun learning! Using these items will help us recieve the type of education that will make us succsessful in all our endevours. We love donorschoose and appreciate everything that has been given by these most generous donors!
