This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The greatest gift I have ever been given is teaching students with Autism. The Autism Spectrum Disorder is broad and complex but everyday my students are teaching me something new about the way they see the world. My students are consistently seeking to find ways to communicate the way they see the world around them. Each of them have diverse needs as well as interests that drive their hunger for learning. They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and opportunities that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! My students are capable and special in so many ways!
My Project
These two iPads will change our classroom learning immensely. Utilizing the iPad in a way that will help my students develop drive and independence they need. Beginning in Kindergarten these students need the opportunity to explore the world around them. Also students with Autism need ways to communicate how they see the world around them, these iPads will provide that.
The iPads will not only give the students access to new things but the ability to increase their "hunger for learning".
The iPad provides programs that assist the learning in the classroom. These programs facilitate reading, writing, and math by engaging the students right from the start.
