My Project
Please help me fund this project which consists of a variety of general food snacks for my newly admitted immigrant students. These students are struggling to acclimate to the school and climate of living in a new country but shouldn’t have to be hungry while in school.
It’s extremely difficult for a young person to focus in school when they haven’t had enough to eat each day.
The school provides a grab and go breakfast each morning if you can arrive at the school an hour before school begins; along with that there’s a lunch option. Both of these food options are great and helpful, what I’m proposing is to supplement with yummy snacks in the classroom to help.
Many of my newly admitted students are immigrants from South America and don't speak english, therefore, they are English language learners. I've noticed how the families are not equipped to provide their children with food snacks because they are learning to adapt to life in a new setting.
